Timothy Taylor Brewery

Timothy Taylor was born in Bingley. He and his brother Henry were both originally tailors by trade.

On moving to Keighley he started a brewing business. As it expanded it moved to the present site which was close to his father-in-law's house, Knowle Spring House (now known as the Green Gables).

Timothy Taylor beers have been produced from the present Knowle Spring brewery since 1863.

One of the few remaining independent brewers to produce cask ales, it draws spring water from wells at their Pennine site.

Since 1928 Timothy Taylor's draught and bottled beers have won over 70 national and international awards.

The Brewery expansion in 2003 permitted a wider range of beers to be produced and the capacity to serve a larger area of the country. Even Londoners can now enjoy a pint of Landlord.
