Malsis Road
Looking to the east from Malsis Road Ilkley Moor can be seen. The back- to -back houses in the Knowle Park area escaped the demolition fate which befell many properties closer to the town centre. On a sunny day you can still see the traditional sight of washing hanging out to dry across the street. The film Yasmin, written by Simon Beaufoy who was born in Haworth, was shot in and around Keighley in 2004 including Malsis Road. |

The buildings in the area, which are constructed out of local stone, have a very distinctive architectural appearance. This picture, of the back of houses in Queens Road, captures the distinctive northern feel of the town and is reminiscent of work of L.S.Lowry.
